AUSTIN (KXAN) - The first billboard honoring Mack Brown popped up on Christmas Day, but by the time the University of Texas' head football coach runs his last game on Monday at the Alamo Bowl, the fourth billboard will be up.
The company putting up the billboards is the company actually running the billboards, Reagan National Advertising.
The first billboard went up at US Highway 183 and Braker Lane. On Friday, another two billboards went up on US 290W at Boston Lane and on the edge of the UT campus at Duval Road and San Jacinto. The fourth one will grace the corner of IH-35 and S. First Street.
Bill Reagan, the President of the Austin office, said he's a fan and wanted to show his support for Coach Brown.
"We really wanted to do it because Mack Brown embodies all the characteristics we should strive for," explained Reagan. "We're a local family owned business in Austin and those are the qualities we want to impart."
On December 14, Brown announced that he would be stepping down as UT's head football coach
